Milling Machine Operator in Lathe Technology

Field of Study: Lathe Technology
Duration of training: 3 1/2 years (reduction is possible)
 
After completed vocational training, a series of professional opportunities arise, primarily as machine operator of lathes, milling machines or at so-called processing centers.

Activities
- Preparatory work (e.g. selection of tools, planning of
  production process)
- Determining and entering machine parameters
- Operating conventional and numerically controlled lathes,
  monitoring the program process, entering required corrections
- Processing workpieces
- Monitoring the production process
- Quality check and assurance
- Maintenance and care of machines to be operated
